International Masterclasses for Strings

Artistic Director: Prof. Petru Munteanu

Masterclasses have been introduced in 1986 by Prof. Petru Munteanu and have since taken part every summer. Within a short period of time, the masterclasses have found remarkable international approval. Lectures about methodical and pedagogical topics complement artistic studies on the instrument.

The offered course comprises personal instruction (4 to 5 hours including orchestra studies), performance training, workshops, and lectures. It might also include chamber music with prior arrangement. The best students perform during internal and external concerts during Hohenloher Kultursommer.

Works can be freely chosen. They should have a level that is comparable with Bach's solo sonatas or suites or with a classical, romantic or contemporary piece.

The course is also open to talented children and adolescents.
